My name: Annie Perkins, leader, Brownie Troop 5578
Name of box: Camporee Hide-out
Date placed: May 19, 2001
Placed at: Hopeville Pond State Park
Jewett City, Connecticut
Route 201 off of Route 395
signs off highway are pretty clear
go to the picnic area, as opposed to the camping
area
Clues:
1) Start where people relieve themselves
2) Walk behind, toward the water to a sign that was, but isn't
3) Take a left around the cedar tree
4) Picnickers on your left and right, but don't stop except to enjoy
the view
5) Parking lot on the left, make a visit to the solar panel in the
sky on right
6) Say hurray for solar power!
7) Go back to the path, get on track to continue on, don't go back.
Enjoy
the lovely cedar and pine forest.
8) Find the big pine with the four trunks and take a right.
9) Open space to view the campers on the left, then beyond to the
small
pier. Very serene.
10) You must be careful not to be seen.
11) You are at your destination. Post your information.
12) Loop back and go left to return to picnic paradise, or right to
find where
campers commune.
